Norma Procter

A writer and artist, Norma Procter is the creator of The House of Abraham Phillips project, and a passionate advocate for engaging the community with local history.

Following study in London at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London University, Norma spent a year in teacher training and teaching in London. She worked in the Voice and Speech faculty at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Her books Singing your Name, Daisy, Love is the Fire, Jew Boy and The House of Abraham Phillips are available from Amazon. She is an artist, and was awarded an MBE for environmental campaigning. She runs the Lan History Project and the Friends of Lan Memorial with Cardiff County Council, organising outreach with residents and the local school to ensure the history of the Lan is part of everyone’s education.

Norma has worked as an independent producer for the past five years. She is co-director of Lan Film Ltd.
